Understanding Dementia (2017) MOOC
Participants in the Understanding Dementia MOOC will gain an increased knowledge of dementia, including its causes, symptoms and ways of responding to the needs of people living with the condition. The aim of this fully on-line course is to maximise the quality of life of people living with dementia, their families and carers. Participants will learn about the brain, the diseases causing dementia, and the person experiencing the condition, and have the opportunity to engage with a community of like-minded participants from across the globe.
Preventing Dementia (2018) MOOC
The Preventing Dementia MOOC will address public health aspects of dementia, including epidemiology and modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors. Factors such as education, physical activity and early and later life interventions will be explored. The Preventing Dementia MOOC will provide the latest evidence on what is known about dementia prevention. Participants will also be given the opportunity to participate in research into dementia prevention, and to complete an assessment of their personal dementia risk.
